An ocean-side farm, Amber Waves unites food and community with the mission to provide rich educational opportunities in agriculture for aspiring growers, thoughtful cooks, and eaters of all ages.
367 Main St, Amagansett, NY
Amber Waves is a diversified farm on almost 30 acres in Amagansett and East Hampton. Their farming practices are based in responsible and sustainable agriculture and land stewardship. They are committed to the thoughtful management of the land, soils, and other natural resources so that they and our community may continue to enjoy them for generations to come.
Their seasonal farm crew is made up of a group of dedicated budding farmers: including our vegetable and flower managers, new apprentices, and seasonal helpers.
THE MARKET-CAFÉ – Their Market represents the bounty of the East End food shed and showcases what they love to eat and cook. In addition to offering their own produce, flowers, and grains, their commitment is to source locally, prioritizing producers from Long Island, New York State, and the northeast regions.
CSA – When you join as a member of their CSA you’re making a commitment to local agriculture by sharing the risks and rewards of the farming season with them.
KIDS EDUCATION – In the outdoor classroom at Amber Waves, they honor nature through stewardship, sustainability, community, and exploration. They love hosting children on the farm and are offering ways to connect eaters of all ages to fresh, nourishing food.
GATHERINGS & WORKSHOPS – They engage the community of eaters, future farmers, chefs, and students through a rich variety of programming, outreach, and workshops hosted on the farm.
APPRRENTICESHIP – Amber Waves Farm began their Apprenticeship Program in 2012. Since then, they have trained 50 new farmers, many of whom remain actively involved in food and agriculture locally and around the world.
