The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons actively rescues cats and dogs, provides quality care and offers sanctuary until loving homes can be found. ARF’s work with animals, within our community and throughout the organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.
VOLUNTEER – ARF loves volunteers! Even one hour a week will help make a difference in the life of a homeless animal.
OPERATION CAT – Through a vast network of volunteers Operation Cat (Op Cat) humanely reduces the growing number and needless suffering of homeless, feral and stray cats by using an effective trap/neuter/return strategy (TNR). Volunteer caretakers provide food, water and shelter for over 1,000 cat colonies, ranging in size from two to thirty cats.
PET FOOD PANTRY – ARF has created a Pet Food Pantry to assist families with pets in need in our community. Pets are an integral part of the family unit, especially in times of crisis and ARF is committed to providing cat and dog food to those who need it.
HUMANE EDUCATION – ARF staff members teach students from pre-school to high school about the basics of animal care and the importance of spay/neuter. Student internships are an excellent way for young people to learn about caring for shelter cats and dogs.
DONATE – Now more than ever, animals – and the people saving them – are counting on ARF. Your generosity enables them to say yes when they receive a call for help.
